Proving that marriage doesn’t mean the end of your friendship, John Taylor and Andy Pemberton have created an amazing photo series, documenting their best-friendship, which is essentially the ultimate Groom and Best Man photo shoot.

After first meeting in 2003, the lads have been best mates for over a decade, bonding over their “mutual idiocy,” according to Taylor.

Instead of going for the traditional ‘morning of’ photos on Taylor’s wedding day, the two men decided to have some fun while getting ready.

“I didn’t want typical groom prep photos and I certainly didn’t get them,” Taylor said. “[I] couldn’t be happier.”

Thankfully, their photographer Katie Byram was up for the challenge and eager to create some memorable shots.

“John opened the door in a bathrobe and said with a cheeky smile, ‘Hello, Katie, we’ve been expecting you,” she said.

“I normally take photographs of guys putting on their ties and button holes but they wanted something a lot less traditional and a lot more fun. We were roaring with laughter through much of it.”

And how does Taylor’s wife, Lisa, feel about it? “She totally gets the bromance and loved the photos when she saw them,” Taylor told Buzzfeed.

“A few of the photos have made the wedding album, including a bed one and one of us in the baths.”
